Doors & Drawer Fronts
Updating the look of your kitchen doors and drawer fronts is an essential element of the kitchen renovation projects we undertake.
Generally, there are 3 options to choose from:
1 – Replace your doors & drawer fronts.
Replacement doors and drawer fronts are available in a choice of solid wood frame or vinyl wrap construction. Both of these choices of doors and drawer fronts are available in a wide choice of both modern and more traditional colours. Standard door sizes and made to measure sizes are available too, so no matter how old or new your kitchen may be, there’ll be a door or drawer front to fit.
Colour matched end panels and infill sections are available to complete that ‘new kitchen look’ throughout.
2 – Re-spray your doors & drawer fronts.
If you’re happy with the style of your kitchen doors & drawer fronts, then we can arrange for your doors to be re-sprayed to any colour of your choosing.
If you’d like to change your door handles to give you a fresh look, that’s not an issue. All the spraying is performed offsite and your ‘new’ doors & drawer fronts will be refitted within a few days.
3 – Hand paint your doors and drawer fronts.
With a wide range of luxurious colours from Farrow & Ball or Little Greene, you can achieve that traditional hand painted finish to your kitchen.
Again, the hand painting is performed offsite with your ‘new’ hand painted doors and drawer fronts refitted within a few days. Why not take this opportunity to change your door handles too.
Worktops & Breakfast Bars
Nothing will compliment your kitchen makeover more than a new worktop, so it’s important to choose the right one.
Worktops are available in many different colours and materials. Generally, there are 4 options to choose from:
1 – Laminate
Laminate worktops provide a hard wearing surface that’s easy to clean and maintain. There is an extensive choice of colours and designs to suit most people’s taste. Laminate worktops are by far and away the most affordable kitchen work surface that’s available.
2 – Natural wood
Nothing looks more spectacular than a natural wooden worktop. There is wide range of woods to choose from such as oak, beech, maple, walnut to name a few.
Wooden work surfaces are not quite as hard wearing as laminate worktops and they do require a little more maintenance, such as oiling or varnishing from time to time, but don’t let that put you off, the timeless look of a wooden work surface is worth the effort.
3 – Quartz composite
Quart composite worktops are manufactured from a resin type material that’s very hardwearing and can be shaped or contoured easily to fit any shape of kitchen you have. They are available in a stunning range of designs and colours to suit most tastes.
4 – Granite
The ultimate in luxury kitchen worktops. Natural granite is hardwearing and will last a lifetime. For those of you that enjoy baking, granite offers you that cool surface to roll out pastry! Granite worktops are bespokely manufactured to fit your kitchen exactly and can take 7 – 10 days to be cut to size and polished.
Upstands & Splashbacks
Upstands
Upstands are usually around 120mm high and can be as high as 200mm and are used to create a border around the kitchen wall that is easy to wipe down after cooking. Upstands are available in most materials and colours to match your chosen worktop.
Splashbacks
Think of an upstand but much bigger. Splashbacks can either be put behind a kitchen hob or sink or you can have them all around your kitchen to leave a real stylish effect that will also be really easy to clean after preparing food.
Splashbacks are available in a choice of materials ranging from stainless steel, glass, quart or granite. Splashbacks vary in thickness, so remember to factor this in as they butt up to your worktop.
Sinks
Why not compliment your kitchen renovation with a new sink. Whether you’re after that traditional farmhouse look with a ceramic Belfast sink, or a more modern look, then choose a granite composite sink that are available in a wide choice of colours. We can supply sinks from some of the best manufacturers such as Franke, Perrin & Rowe & Blanco. There are a wide range of choices, so here are some options for you to consider.

Dependant on the space you have available on your worktop you can choose from:

2 Choose the type of material
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel sinks are practical, easy to clean, very functional and affordable. They are available in a wide number of options to fit every kitchen
Granite Composite
Granite composite sinks are very hardwearing and are manufactured in a wide range of colours to suit most kitchen colour schemes
Ceramic
Ceramic sinks are available in more traditional farmhouse style sinks and more modern styles too. Colour choices are generally limited to cream, off white or white.
Glass
Glass sinks are a much more modern material used to manufacture sinks. Despite them being made of glass, there are toughened and very difficult to damage! Choice of colours is a little more limited than other types of sinks.
Taps
A stunning new kitchen tap can make a real statement in your kitchen.
Choose from different designs and colours to match the style of your kitchen The choices available are huge, be it from a single monobloc mixer taps through to tall spray taps. Taps come in a wide choice of finishes from simple chrome, stainless steel, brushed nickel, brass, copper and many others too.
Many taps come with options of providing filtered water and boiling water too.
Tiling
Whether it’s floor tiles or wall tiles, there is an enormous amount of tiles to choose from, with leading manufacturers to suit everyone’s budget.
You may have made your choice of tiles, or might need some design advice, then our knowledgeable team are on hand to offer guidance on colour and style choices, and also where specific performance is required.
Many clients are choosing under floor heating which adds a luxurious warm feeling to your tiled floor, particularly during the cooler months.
The choices available for powering your underfloor heating can be either by electric or supplied by your central heating system.
Flooring
For your kitchen there are a number of choices you can select from:
Vinyl Tiles
With suppliers of quality vinyl flooring such as Karndean and Amtico, these types of flooring look absolutely amazing. Designs can be added within the flooring pattern along with borders and motifs to truly personalise it to your requirements. Vinyl tiles are amazingly lifelike and are easily mistaken for real wood and stone, giving you that ‘photo-finish’ you are looking for. Vinyl floor tiles are extremely hardwearing, very easy to maintain and will last for years
Laminate Flooring
Laminate floors mirror nature perfectly, transforming rooms, giving them personality and significance. Laminate floors create a relaxed atmosphere and lastingly enhance quality of living The allure of wood is inescapable. Hardly distinguishable from parquet, it is not only the look that distinguishes our Laminate floors from others – our Laminate floors are particularly durable and hard-wearing.
Vinyl Flooring
Fuss free and functional; vinyl flooring is affordable, easy to clean and ideal for busy homes. Perfect for the bathroom, kitchen and conservatory; vinyl or lino flooring is family and pet friendly. Choose from a variety of realistic finishes including wood, tile, stone and mosaic to achieve a faultless finish in any room.
Cabinets
As part of your kitchen renovation project we can exchange any damaged cabinets or replace some of your existing cabinets with units that better fit the way your kitchen works for you.
The adding a centre island in your kitchen is an extremely functional addition to any kitchen. There are options of adding units with curved doors, wine racks, plate racks and larder cupboards to give you that new kitchen look.
Bespoke Carpentry
Most kitchens have those awkward spaces that are underutilised, under the stairs, in the corner or by the back door.
Our bespoke carpentry service enables you to maximise the use of any space in your kitchen and create bespoke shelving, cupboards, wine racks or storage areas.
Making use of every space in your kitchen will increase the functionality of your kitchen and reduce those ‘over crowded’ cupboards.
Appliances
The range and choice of kitchen appliances is huge, with manufacturers and pricing to cater for everyone.
Whilst your kitchen renovation is underway, there is never a better time to think about upgrading your kitchen appliances.
CKR can source a wide range of the latest appliances be that hobs, extractor hoods, ovens, integrated fridges and freezers, dishwashers and more. Many of the electrical appliances are much more energy efficient with some excellent features. If you would prefer to purchase your own appliances, that’s fine, we can advise you on sizes to ensure it all fits perfectly.
Electrics
As we add more electrical ‘gadgets’ to our kitchens, there aren’t enough electrical sockets to go round and trailing extension leads can be dangerous.
Adding extra electrical sockets can be done easily, with all the additional cabling hidden behind cabinets or wall coverings.
Even if you don’t need any additional electrical sockets why not consider changing the faceplates to brass, chrome of brushed nickel to add that perfect finishing touch.
Our electrical contractors are NICEIC approved, so you can be assured that the standard and quality is safe and secure.
Plumbing
Do you need your sink moving or some additional pipework for that new dishwasher in your kitchen, leave that with us, we’ll sort it.
Is there a radiator that needs moving to allow some additional cupboards to be installed?
Our plumbing contractors are Gas Safe approved and legally qualified to work on gas appliances. Thereby ensuring safety for you and your family.
Colour Match Service
You’ve had your kitchen renovated in the colour of your choice and it looks stunning, but what about that bookshelf or set of dining table and chairs that clashes with your new kitchen?
Ask us about our Colour Matching Service, we can arrange for your existing furniture or fittings to be re-sprayed in a matching or contrasting colour to complete that new kitchen look.
